Pantry of Broward Tank Removal
Tank Closure Assessment Report (TCAR) for the Pantry of Broward
Lion Point oversaw a ground penetrative radar (GPR) test for a site in Fort Lauderdale that identified the presence of six underground storage tanks. After their identification, we conducted a test pit investigation to pinpoint their precise locations, volumes, and depths. We then assisted the present and future site owners with the registration of the tanks at the County and State level as required under Florida law.
The USTs ranged in capacities of between 20,000 and 5,000-gallons and appear to have been installed in the 1950s. They were excavated and removed from the site in accordance with the FDEP’s Instructions for Conducting Sampling During Storage Tank Closure (July 2019) guidance and Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) 62-761.800, Out-of-Service and Closure Requirements.
